One of the both workshop organised in the frame of the event Memory and Futurism was leaded by Renaud Vercey, Bruno Voillot and Mohamed Youssef.
The final object produced during the interactive video workshop clearly refered to the interactive video DVD Disposition, which we presented in Alexandria. For the workshop team, the goal was to create a collective audiovisual work, in which menus would link each video to one another according meaning or shape association. عنوان العمل : البحث عن الهوية يعبر العمل عن حالة التوتر المستمرة التي تعتري الإنسان خلال رحلة البحث عن الهوية بمعناها الخاص( وهو البحث عن السمات الخاصة للشخصية ) ومعناها العام ( وهو البحث عن سمات الوطن وتأصيل فكرة الانتماء) في تشابه كبير مع مجابه الحياة الالكترونية ومسارات التشعب الالكتروني والتي تضع المشاهد أمام سؤال هام – هل يمكن أن تكون التكنولوجيا الشكل العام للهوية الخاصة بالإنسان ؟! أم أنها وسيلة لمعرفة الهوية ؟!...

Ismail Fayed est auteur et dramaturge, Il a fini ses etudes en sciences politiques (université du Caire et université américaine au Caire). Son travail comme chercheur dans l'histoire d'arts, l'histoire de Moyen-Orient, la philosophie, le genre, l'anthropologie et la politique lui a permis de travailler entre les lignes et les normes des pratiques artistiques contemporaines.
